The No Frost Venting Wind Guard will fit on all No Frost Venting Vent Kits. If you encounter a long period of cold weather with extreme winds, reverse air flow may occur, creating a downward pressure in the sewer stack. This reverse air flow and downward pressure in the sewer vent stack over an extended period may cause the plumbing vent stack and vent kit to freeze up.
The No Frost Venting Wind Guard clamps to the top of the No Frost Venting Vent Kit. It deflects the wind either under or over top the wind guard, creating a negative pressure in the sewer stack that pulls the sewer gas up the vent pipe and assists in the function of the No Frost Venting Vent Kit.
In the event it is determined a Wind Guard is required, install the curved front of the kit facing north or into the predominate cold wind.
